A little office makeover

Our interior designers did an office swap here at MCD to give them a larger space to work in. This is the magnificent result:

Natural tones and a brand new paint job have created an area that is now comfortable for both designers to meet with clients about the interior of their dream home. There is also plenty of space now  to spread out and work on current projects. In the open closets, there is now lots of storage for samples and materials. An organized resource library helps designers to pull together their initial ideas without having to head out to the design center or a showroom as they have a great supply of things on hand. They also have boxes designated to each client to keep all of the selections organized and in one location. The new counter height slab is a great place to display material and concept boards for meetings. A nice contrast to the room are the chalkboard walls, who doesn’t like to write on the walls? There are now also places to clip up inspiration for current projects as well as a calendar to help them stay on track and meet deadlines.

The designers would like to thank Western Tile and Marble for generously donating the Carrara Marble slab, employees Ty, Charlie, Pete, and Zack at the office for helping with the construction portion of the redesign, and the bosses Roger and Nancy for letting them run wild with the design.
