TOOLBOX TIP: COVID-19 PREVENTION

Due to the fact that it’s difficult if not impossible to know about the health or exposures

of whoever’s coming and going to a jobsite, there are health risks to workers. Employees

and employers are at still further risk due to continued transmission concerns as

workers travel from site to site. To be as preventative as possible, here are tips for your

jobsite safety:

- Stay home if you are feeling unwell with a cough or fever

- Cover coughs/sneezes with something other than your hand

- Refrain from sharing drinks or food

- Thoroughly wash hands frequently throughout the day

- Implement a “no hand shaking policy”

- No meetings of more than 10 people

- Keep at least 6 feet apart

- Discourage those of higher risk from attending even small meetings

- Disinfect highly touched areas multiple times a day

- Reduce all non-essential business travel

- Conduct meetings outdoors if possible

- Stagger shift hours between trades to prevent large gatherings
